Reports to: James Langford, Director of Operations

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a professional customer-oriented environment through interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to problem solve and multi-task
  • Handle cash, provide proper change, maintain a proper float and balance the cash register
  • Manage the online and written tee reservation system
  • Check guests in utilizing the Point of Sale (POS) system, for processing purchases and credit card transactions
  • Assist members and guests with pro shop merchandise sales
  • Assist in merchandising and creating new, interesting and visually pleasing displays, by maintaining a pristine shop appearance and organizing and straightening merchandising displays
  • Light cleaning duties of the pro shop
  • Knowledge of golf is an asset, but not required
  • Assist with tournaments and leagues
  • Ensure all Ingersoll Golf Club policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Event setup: may include moving tables and chairs and some lifting
  • Course marshalling duties
  • Actively participate in back shop duties such as washing golf carts, picking the range, and general upkeep of property and grounds as deemed necessary by supervisors
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director of Operations

Kitchen Supervisor

Type: Full-time (seasonal)

Position: Kitchen Supervisor

Start Date: Mid April

Reports to: James Langford, Director of Operations

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, coordinate and execute food preparation
  • Ensuring the kitchen is a safe and hygienic place to work
  • Control, maintain and manage kitchen inventory and food supplies
  • Support and facilitate control of food cost
  • Supervises cooking and non-cooking personnel, such as line cooks, wait staff and dishwashers
  • Trains new staff
  • Line cook duties
  • Ensure food quality
  • Stocking, dating and rotating products
  • Assist with dishes and cleaning
  • Banquet room set up and banquet/tournament meal preps
  • Performs other duties as described set forth by the Director of Operations

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in kitchens in the service industry
  • Must be familiar with kitchen equipment: deep fryer, grill, BBQ, flat top
  • Experience in food preparation
  • Must adhere to standardized recipes and specifications to maintain consistency and ensure all standards are met
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Prep/Line Cook

Type: Full and part-time

Position: Prep/Line Cook

Start Date: Beginning of April

Reports to: Kitchen Supervisor

Responsibilities:

  • Daily activities include food preparation and menu execution
  • Kitchen opening and closing, cleaning and following instructions in accordance with health board regulations
  • Banquet and event room setup. This includes moving tables, and chairs, and general setup for tournaments and events as required
  • Work with other staff as a team
  • Work diligently to achieve outstanding food service quality
  • Performs other duties as set forth by the Kitchen Supervisor under the direction of the Director of Operations

Qualifications:

  • Experience necessary as short order cook with breakfast and ‘pub food’
  • Must be familiar with kitchen equipment: deep fryer, grill, BBQ, flattop, etc.
  • Must adhere to standardized recipes and specifications to maintain consistency and ensure all standards are met, must be able to multi-task and complete several orders at a time
  • High school diploma

Food & Beverage Server

Type: Full and Part-time

Position: Food & Beverage Server

Start Date: Beginning of April

Reports to: James Langford, Director of Operations

Responsibilities:

  • Counter service provided on a daily basis to golf patrons
  • Advise on the best food and drink choices for each customer and answer questions
  • Take orders and deliver them to the table deftly and accurately
  • Attend to the tables and guarantee compliance with cleanliness standards
  • Deliver checks and accept payment
  • Work with other staff as a team
  • Work diligently to achieve outstanding service quality
  • Event setup: may include moving tables and chairs
  • Clubhouse cleaning as directed by supervisors and managers
  • Complete any other tasks as assigned by the Director of Operations

Qualifications:

  • Smart Serve Certification
  • Proven work experience as a server
  • Ability to build relationships with colleagues and customers to ensure mutual satisfaction
  • Customer-oriented and planning skills required
  • Working knowledge of POS and any ordering information system

Turf Staff

Job Types: Full-time and Part-time available

Position: Turf Staff Member

Salary: To be discussed, based on experience

Reports to: Bill Willaert – Greens Superintendent

Start Date: End of March/Beginning of April

The successful candidate should be passionate about golf course operations and strive to deliver impeccable course conditions for all patrons of the golf club.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily maintenance including cutting rough, fairways, tees and greens. Bunker maintenance and preparing the course for play each day.
  • Assists in practices such as fertilizing, topdressing, verticutting, rolling and aerating
  • Participate in irrigation repairs, head leveling and hand watering
  • Manual laborer on construction and renovation projects
  • General property maintenance including tree and shrub pruning, leaf cleanup and hand weeding of bunkers and flower beds
  • Housekeeping duties to ensure all areas on the golf course are maintained in a neat, organized and clean manner at all times
  • Maintenance of tools and equipment to ensure they are kept in a safe and orderly manner

Qualifications:

  • Weekends and early mornings are required.
  • Work Schedules are organized by the Course Superintendent.
  • Must be available for weekends and early mornings
  • Must be willing to work in varied weather conditions outdoors which may include rain and wind, along with warm and cool temperatures.
  • Must be physically fit and able to lift moderate weight (30 – 50 lbs)
  • Mechanical aptitude an asset
  • Ability to work alone or in a group to complete work in timely manner and on a deadline (staying in front of golfers)
